Fitness, spa and wellness marketing

Your studio is good. Not enough people know it yet.

I am Denise Leon, and IMDM stands for I Am Denise Marketing. I run growth marketing for gyms, spas and wellness businesses that are ready to stop guessing. One client took their membership from 15 people to more than 150 with me. I work with a small number of businesses at a time so that kind of attention is possible.

3 years And counting on that engagement

The pattern I keep finding

Most wellness businesses do not have a marketing problem. They have six half finished channels.

The Instagram account went quiet in March. The Google listing still has the old hours. Someone ran ads for two months, could not tell whether they worked, and turned them off. Nobody owns the number at the bottom.

Your best marketing is invisible

Word of mouth is carrying you, and it has a ceiling. The people who would love your studio have never heard the name.

You are the marketing department

Posting between clients, at night, when you have the energy. It works until the week you get busy, and then it stops.

You cannot tell what is working

Money goes out. Members come in. Nothing on your desk connects the two, so every decision is a guess.

Client results

15 members to more than 150, and still my client three years later.

A single location gym that had run out of word of mouth

They had a loyal handful of members, a Google listing with the wrong information on it, and a social account that posted when someone remembered. Nothing pointed a stranger toward the front door.

We rebuilt the foundation first: accurate listings everywhere, a real posting rhythm, and email to the people who had already walked in once. Paid ads came on top of that, not instead of it. The first measurable lift came inside three months.

How I work

Seen, found, chosen. In that order, on purpose.

Most agencies start with ads because ads are easy to sell. I start with the things that make ads worth buying. Here is what the first year looks like.

Phase 01

Diagnostic

I go through everything a prospective customer would see: your listings, your reviews, your social, your site, your email. You get the findings whether or not we work together.

First two weeks
Phase 02

Get seen

A brand that looks the same everywhere someone meets you, and a posting rhythm that does not depend on you having a free evening.

Weeks 2 to 8
Phase 03

Get found

Google Business Profile, accurate listings across the web, local search, and email to the people who already know you. This is the part almost everyone skips.

Weeks 4 to 12
Phase 04

Get chosen

Paid and organic campaigns on top of a foundation that can hold them, with a monthly report that tells you plainly what worked and what I am changing.

Month 3 onward

What is included

You are not handed to a junior account manager. You work with me.

Denise Leon, founder of IMDM Marketing

About

IMDM stands for I Am Denise Marketing. That is not a coincidence.

When you hire an agency you usually get a logo, a contract and a stranger. When you hire me you get me.

I started IMDM because local and independent wellness businesses kept getting handed the same templated marketing that gets sold to everyone else, then getting blamed when it did not work. A gym is not a law firm. A spa is not an e commerce store. The rhythm of the business, the way people decide to walk in, the reason they stay, all of it is different, and the marketing has to know that.

So I keep the client list short on purpose. I would rather run five businesses well than twenty badly. If we work together, you can reach me directly, you know what I am doing this month, and you can see whether it worked.

Working together

Two ways in, depending on where you are.

Both are monthly retainers, scoped on a call once I understand the business. I take on a limited number of clients at a time.

Most clients start here

Growth partner

For established wellness businesses that want someone accountable for growth, not another vendor to manage.

  • Full strategy across social, search, email and paid
  • Content produced and published on a set rhythm
  • Google Business Profile and listings managed for you
  • Campaigns planned, launched and optimized
  • Monthly reporting and a standing call with me

Monthly retainer. Six month minimum, because nothing meaningful happens in eight weeks.

The foundation

Presence care

For businesses that are not ready for a full engagement but cannot afford to have wrong information on the internet.

  • Google Business Profile kept current
  • Local listings and NAP consistency maintained
  • Website content updates
  • Quarterly review of what is and is not working

Monthly retainer. A common starting point that often grows into a full engagement.

Who this is not for

  • Businesses looking for the cheapest option. I am not it, and I will tell you that on the call.
  • Anyone who wants results next week. The first real lift on my best engagement took three months.
  • Owners who want to approve every caption. Hire me for judgment or do not hire me.
  • Businesses with a product people do not actually like. Marketing makes a good business bigger. It cannot fix a bad one.

Questions

The things people ask before the call.

What does it cost?

Engagements are priced by scope after the fit call, once I know what shape your business is in and what you actually need. I will say plainly that I am not the budget option, and I will give you a real number on that first call rather than making you sit through three meetings to hear it.

How long before I see results?

On my longest running engagement, the first measurable lift came at about three months, and the compounding growth came over years. Anyone promising you results in three weeks is selling you something else.

Do you only work with gyms and spas?

Fitness, spa and wellness is where I do my best work and where my results are. I have also worked in real estate and hospitality, so if you are in an adjacent local service business it is worth a conversation.

Do you work with businesses outside your city?

Yes. I work remotely with clients across the United States. Local marketing does not require me to be local, it requires me to understand your local market, which is part of the diagnostic.

What do you need from me?

Access to your accounts, an honest hour at the start, and a monthly call. That is most of it. If you have photos, video or a story worth telling, that helps, and if you do not, we build it.

What does IMDM stand for?

I Am Denise Marketing. The name is a promise about who is actually doing the work.

Start here

Let's make you the obvious choice.

Tell me a little about the business and I will come back within one business day. If we are a fit, we book 30 minutes. If we are not, I will tell you that too, and point you somewhere better.

I read every one of these myself. No sequences, no sales team.
